Agency likeness management: register and protect artist AI rights from one account

Agency likeness management starts with a Rightis company account and registering artists on their behalf. Find them by stage name in Backers100 data, collect consent by link, and run the misuse patrol against their registered faces to respond to celebrity AI misuse.

Can an agency register artist AI rights on their behalf?

Yes. No per-artist accounts are needed. Create a company account, invite artists, and Rightis records each artist’s consent from a link they receive. With representation consent, permission requests, contracts and settlement all arrive at the company account.

What is registered are identity rights: face, voice and persona. Characters and virtual IP the company owns are registered the same way as human artists.

How do I find and register artists?

Type a stage name in the invite screen and pick from the public profiles of 1,842 K-pop singers, actors and broadcasters that Backers100 analyses daily. The invite is prefilled from the profile, and once the artist or the agency takes it over it becomes the rights holder profile.

Artists not in the list, including new ones, can be invited by name and contact. The artist consents on the link and uploads one frontal photo, and registration is done.

How do we respond to celebrity AI misuse?

Run the misuse patrol against the registered face. Register up to 20 pages or image addresses per artist and once a day the patrol compares their images with the registered face, logging anything at 85% similarity or above and sending an alert. Results and image copies go only to the artist and agency members, never to partners or outside.

Findings are managed as reviewed, no issue or reported, with a direct path into a misuse report. If a suspicious image is in hand, the misuse check compares it instantly, and a high score leads to platform report windows, a notice draft and law-firm proposals at no filing fee.

How do permission requests and settlement work?

AI services and brands check the registration and request permission before using an artist. Requests arrive at the company account; in-scope requests contract immediately and approval-required ones wait for the company. Granted use is recorded under the contract and settled to the company account.

Permitted scope can differ per artist, and training-data consent is managed per artist too.

What changes once entertainment likeness rights are in the registry?

A record of advance notice exists. With a public listing anyone can look up registration and permitted scope by rights ID, and artists who did not consent to training go on the do-not-train list. Integrated AI services check permission before generating an artist’s face, voice or persona.

Registration alone does not block services that have not integrated. What remains are the registration time, consent and patrol records that ground a response when misuse happens.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does every artist need an account?

No. The company registers on their behalf and collects consent by link. An artist can take over the account later.

Who sees patrol results?

Only the artist and agency members. Image copies sit in private storage and never go to partners or outside.

Is there anything the patrol cannot find?

It checks only the addresses you registered. Images must be https, and matches under 85% are not logged.

Is there a cost?

Registration and patrol are free. A fee applies only when a contract is signed.
